Glimpes: Nature Poetry Workshop: Nell Regan

Poetry Workshop (no experience necessary)!

Starting off in the new garden space of North Clondalkin Library, enjoy a range of writing exercises as well as reading poems from Ireland and Japan that help us attend to the natural world. Following on from this, participants will be able to pick up on images that are all around to write their own short, nature poems.

Nell Regan is a poet and non-fiction writer. She has published three collections of poetry (Preparing for Spring, Bound for Home and One Still Thing) and awards include Arts Council Literature Bursaries as well as fellowships from the Patrick and Katherine Kavanagh Trust and the International Writing Programme, Iowa. Helena Molony: A Radical Life (Arlen House) was a 2017 Irish Independent Book of the Year and her latest publication is A Gap in the Clouds: A New Translation of the Ogura Hyakunin Isshu, with James Hadley (Dedalus Press). She is delighted to be back live at the Red Line Book Festival, having judged the 2019 Poetry Competition. See also www.nellregan.com
