Rediscovering Tallaght by Looking Up - Writer in Residence Showcase with Lisa Harding

Rediscovering Tallaght by Looking Up - Writer in Residence Showcase with Lisa Harding

Red Line Book Festival’s inaugural writer in residence, Lisa Harding invites you to a showcase event, sharing the work of participants in this project, called ‘Rediscovering Tallaght by Looking Up’. It will be an evening of new voices, working together to create a performance piece made up of the fruits of eight weeks of interactive workshops exploring the notion of Place as Character and characters arising out of a specific place. There will be some discussion around process, Lisa’s own work and of course, most importantly a chance to hear startling new voices breathing life into a place as wonderfully diverse as Tallaght itself.

Lisa Harding is the inaugural Writer in Residence for the Red Line Book Festival. The ten week Writer in Residence appointment in South County Dublin runs from August to October 2019 and is supported by Creative Ireland. The Residency aims to engage with local communities, work with schools and community groups, and to produce a collaborative work involving local participants.
