A special poetry reading from three distinct Irish poets where we highlight their new collections published during, or postponed due to, the pandemic. The readings will be followed by a panel discussion chaired by poet Jessica Traynor.
Linda McKenna’s debut collection In the Museum of Misremembered Things was published by Doire Press in March 2020.
Kerry Hardie’s eight collection Where Now Begins is due to be published by Blooadaxe Books in November 2020.
Séan Hewitt’s Tongues of Fire “gracefully ambushes the sacramental with experiences of the sensuous natural world. [...] The consistency of the effect, unusual in a first book, communicates a distinct, developed mythopoeia.” John McAuliffe, The Irish Times.
This panel will be chaired by Jessica Traynor, poet, dramaturg and creative writing teacher.
